About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Azure DevOps pipelines (YAML or classic) for data/AI workloads (Fabric/Synapse, ADF, Databricks, APIs), infrastructure automations, and Dynamics/Power Platform ALM.
  • Implement environments, approvals, variable groups, artifact/versioning, rollback strategies, and Key Vault integration.
  • Establish branching & PR policies, quality gates, and reusable pipeline templates/runbooks that reduce toil and cycle time.
  • Lead landing zone and environment strategy across subscriptions/resource groups (naming, tagging, policies/guardrails).
  • Oversee networking & connectivity (VNets, Private Endpoints, Firewall, hybrid links), identity & access (Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access), and platform services (Storage/ADLS, Key Vault, Event Hub, Functions, API Management).
  • Drive observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights, KQL), SLOs/error budgets, alert hygiene, and incident response/postmortems.
  • Partner with Finance on FinOps by providing technical usage insights, budgets/alerts, and optimization data, without owning reconciliation.
  • Drive adoption of Microsoft Cloud assets with a focus on best-practice implementation and long-term scalability.
  • Architect secure patterns for Microsoft Fabric/Synapse/Lakehouse, ADF orchestration, and Databricks (jobs, clusters, secrets).
  • Enable ML/AI/GenAI delivery: model/package promotion, MLOps (MLflow/registry), AI Search/vector stores, Azure OpenAI integration, and data protection (PII, RLS/CLS).
  • Perform design reviews with Data Engineering and Analytics to ensure performance, resiliency, and governance.
  • Own CSP technical and support operations across all Microsoft Cloud subscriptions: Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Security/Compliance.
  • Manage customer/tenant onboarding to our customer-facing CSP portal, licensing setup, and subscription lifecycle support in Partner Center.
  • Implement secure access patterns (GDAP, Azure & M365 Lighthouse, delegated administration) and maintain least-privilege controls.
  • Build and maintain operational runbooks, automation, and monitoring for CSP activities via Partner Center APIs and tools.
  • Provide technical insights to Finance for cost visibility and optimization but leave billing/reconciliation to Finance.
  • Support customer trust through incident handling, audit readiness, and compliance with Microsoft program requirements.
  • Ensure correct CPOR, DPOR, and PAL associations are set up for all client-facing environments, working closely with Armanino's Sales teams, internal Microsoft Program Manager and AI Practice lead to guarantee accurate partner attribution for Microsoft incentives and compliance.
  • Maintain leadership on Dynamics 365 & Power Platform ALM: solution control, environment strategy (dev/test/uat/prod/sandbox), wave planning, and Synapse Link/Fabric integration guardrails.
  • Align change management with business cadence and coach systems engineering on day-to-day execution.
  • Implement automation strategies to enhance efficiency across Dynamics products.
  • Manage the Cloud & AI Platform Engineer (prioritization, growth, and delivery outcomes).
  • Coach Systems Engineering on SOPs/runbooks, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead operational reviews; set goals for deployment success rate, MTTR, and automation coverage.
  • Own the strategy and governance for all lab and development environments across Microsoft Cloud services, ensuring secure access, compliance with policies, and alignment to enterprise guardrails.
  • Implement controls for isolation, least-privilege, cost containment, and lifecycle management of non-production environments.

  • Minimum 7 years in Microsoft Cloud platform/DevOps/infra roles, including hands-on Azure DevOps pipelines and environment management.
  • Minimum 3 years enabling data/analytics platforms (Fabric, Synapse, ADF, Databricks) and securing data workloads (ADLS, Key Vault, RLS/CLS).
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML/GenAI enablement (model lifecycle, AI Search, Azure OpenAI integration, or MLOps).
  • Strong Microsoft Cloud security & governance: Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, network isolation, and policy/guardrails.
  • Practical Partner Center & CSP technical operations experience across all Microsoft Cloud subscriptions: Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with GDAP, Azure & M365 Lighthouse, subscription lifecycle, delegated administration, and Partner Center APIs.
