About the role
- Perform technical reviews of tax returns for high-net-worth individuals
- Provide consultation on business and/or personal transactions
- Manage larger and complex engagements and workflow of multiple clients
- Review or conduct high level research of complex or emerging tax issues
- Engage with our internal business development department
- Contribute to technical publications and engaging in speaking opportunities
- Develop our internal professionals by leading formal learning opportunities/trainings
- Continually build on technical expertise in taxation by attending continuing professional education courses
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related discipline
- Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e., JD, CPA, or EA)
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members
- Advanced understanding of planning and compliance concepts related to high-net-worth individual and fiduciary income tax, gift tax, and estate tax
- Possess a strong knowledge of accounting theory and federal, state and local tax laws
