About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end logistics for trade shows, executive dinners, roadshows, customer forums, agency roundtables, and field activations, including venue coordination, vendor management, shipping, staffing, and run of show
  • Design and execute public-sector event formats that comply with government ethics and procurement norms
  • Build the field calendar around federal and state government buying cycles
  • Manage trade show exhibitor portals, submissions, deadlines, booth assignments, labor orders, sponsorship deliverables, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate roadshows, lunch-and-learns, Galleon tours, partner co-marketing events, and field activations
  • Work with Sales and BDRs on account targeting, event engagement, lead capture, messaging, and follow-up; deliver lead lists within 24 hours
  • Develop joint field programs with public-sector channel partners, including systems integrators, resellers, distributors, and contract-vehicle holders
  • Partner with Content & Communications, Design, and Demand Gen on assets, collateral, ABM programs, and event nurture
  • Maintain event scorecards covering pipeline influence, meetings set, cost per lead, and ROI
  • Build operational playbooks, trackers, and post-event workflows
  • Manage booth graphics, demo gear, swag, and printed-material inventory
  • Support the Head of Events with research, vendor outreach, budget tracking, and problem solving
  • Travel approximately 40–60% of the time, including evenings, weekends, and back-to-back shows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in B2B field marketing, demand generation, or event management for a tech company, with hands-on ownership of strategy and execution
  • Generalist field marketing experience driving pipeline through trade shows, roadshows, executive events, ABM programs, and integrated digital campaigns
  • Experience working directly with AEs and BDRs on account targeting, pre-event outreach, and post-event follow-up
  • Hands-on experience managing trade show exhibitor portals such as Freeman, Cvent, Experient, or similar
  • Proven ability to execute events end to end without a large team
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Strong vendor management and budgeting skills
  • Ability to work with executives, technical SMEs, and government stakeholders; polished on-site presence
  • Full availability for significant travel, long hours, evenings, and weekends
  • Direct public sector field marketing experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with government procurement cycles, ethics rules, and acquisition norms (preferred)
  • Background in industrial edge, energy, space, enterprise infrastructure, or AI/ML technology (preferred)
  • Experience building event playbooks, ROI dashboards, and scalable field marketing processes from scratch (preferred)
  • Existing relationships within public sector associations, systems integrators, or the defense ecosystem (preferred)
  • Proficiency with virtual event platforms or hybrid event production (preferred)
  • Ability to set up lightweight AV or demo environments on site (preferred)
