About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Armada's primary on-site point of contact during installation, startup, and commissioning of the Leviathan data center.
- Coordinate daily activities across the customer's GC, GC-managed subcontractors, and Armada's subcontracted trades.
- Develop and enforce site logistics plans, look-ahead schedules, and work sequencing.
- Lead coordination meetings and resolve field conflicts involving space, sequencing, access, and utility tie-ins.
- Track punch lists, RFIs, deficiency logs, daily site reports, photo documentation, and progress logs.
- Coordinate with the Commissioning Authority on Level 1–5 commissioning, turnover packages, startup sequencing, and system readiness.
- Support pre-functional checklists, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
- Manage commissioning punch items and coordinate equipment energization, startup, and testing.
- Maintain the master commissioning schedule and flag risks to the Ready for Service date.
- Enforce site safety programs and support QA/QC, permitting, inspections, and AHJ coordination.
- Provide progress updates, schedule risk assessments, and RFS readiness reporting to project leadership and the customer.
- Support change management and ensure field changes follow approval processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of construction site management experience, including 3+ years in mission-critical, data center, or industrial startup/commissioning environments
- Proven experience coordinating multi-trade, multi-stakeholder sites through substantial completion, startup, commissioning, and occupancy or RFS
- Working knowledge of data center MEP systems, including electrical distribution/switchgear, UPS, generators, cooling plants/CRAH-CRAC, and BMS/EPMS controls
- Familiarity with ASHRAE Guideline 0/1.1 and Level 1–5 commissioning frameworks
- Strong scheduling skills using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar
- Experience managing look-ahead schedules across GC and subcontractor crews
- Ability to manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and third-party commissioning agents
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong site safety leadership background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting schedule and risk status to customer and executive stakeholders
- Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders/stairs, and work in mechanical/electrical spaces under construction
- PPE required at all times
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and with short-notice availability during critical energization and testing windows
