About the role
- Arrange, track and communicate the status of transportation on pickup and delivery sides for customer’s goods.
- Assign and tender shipments to preferred carriers using Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Coordinate dedicated and continuous move tenders.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup utilizing the TMS.
- Proactively follow up to ensure desired service results are secured.
- Use 24TRACC to access Loads at Risk application and identify late running loads.
- Coordinate first response activity to resolve pickup and in-transit issues.
- Assist carriers in resolving issues regarding loading, pickup appointments.
- Manage notifications and network email communication through Microsoft Outlook.
Requirements
- 1-5 years experience in customer service or transportation operations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
- Customer Service or Transportation experience with LTL, Intermodal, temp controlled, and dry truckload transportation preferred.
- General understanding of business and transportation terms and concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel required; Access, TMS applications preferred
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with internal/external clients.
