About the role

  • Arrange, track and communicate the status of transportation on pickup and delivery sides for customer’s goods.
  • Assign and tender shipments to preferred carriers using Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Coordinate dedicated and continuous move tenders.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup utilizing the TMS.
  • Proactively follow up to ensure desired service results are secured.
  • Use 24TRACC to access Loads at Risk application and identify late running loads.
  • Coordinate first response activity to resolve pickup and in-transit issues.
  • Assist carriers in resolving issues regarding loading, pickup appointments.
  • Manage notifications and network email communication through Microsoft Outlook.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years experience in customer service or transportation operations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
  • Customer Service or Transportation experience with LTL, Intermodal, temp controlled, and dry truckload transportation preferred.
  • General understanding of business and transportation terms and concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel required; Access, TMS applications preferred
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) with internal/external clients.
