About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and drive the team through advanced stage-gate processes for each new product, meeting the criteria to include market research, product requirements, product specifications, product packaging requirements, product pricing, appropriate channels of distribution and marketing strategies.
  • Develop product portfolio life cycle analyses to determine strategy for existing products based on customer and market needs.
  • Lead and execute the product portfolio & rationalization process in a timely manner to maximize sales profitability.
  • Gather and assimilate market and competitive information from several sources such as trade information, conferences, customers, competitors’ websites and the sales team.
  • Evaluate each market for opportunities for product penetration, growth, and margin improvement.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape to stay ahead of potential threats while looking for opportunities.
  • Work with functional groups such as marketing communications, sales, and finance to ensure that each program is complete and executed with excellence.
  • Assist the quality team to evaluate failures and discuss solutions to customer complaints.
  • Manage formal training programs, working with the product management group, to train both internal and external teams on Armacell’s offerings.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing required, additional MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in product management roles.
  • Operational and/or specific product development experience is a plus.
  • Proven project management and people skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across different divisions.
  • Strong technical affinity, with the ability to identify and communicate technical functional requirements and performance characteristics.
  • Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.
  • Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally around 25%.
