💰 $90,000 - $105,000 per year
About the role
- Provide a technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations and process performance to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation.
- Understands all applicable process, equipment and control technologies.
- Works with Technical experts and plant personnel to optimize operations.
- Participates in advanced trouble shooting and coaches others to learn these skills.
- Implements best practices in order to optimize operations.
- Works with Technical experts and Operating Technicians to initiate changes to plant operating procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date.
- Provides high level leadership and direction in the day to day decision making for the operating area of responsibility.
- Conducts and participates in root cause analysis, FMEA, etc. as required.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, chemistry or other science discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrate and validate expertise of both the technology and the continuous improvement process, including: Fundamental principles (mass balance, energy balance, process parameters, governing equations)
- Plant unit knowledge (tracing lines, equipment, process control technology)
- Technology and process safety knowledge
- Knowledge of key continuous improvement systems (Six Sigma, LEAN)
