💰 $90,000 - $105,000 per year

About the role

  • Provide a technical resource to assist work teams on daily operations and process performance to run a low cost, on specification, reliable, optimized operation.
  • Understands all applicable process, equipment and control technologies.
  • Works with Technical experts and plant personnel to optimize operations.
  • Participates in advanced trouble shooting and coaches others to learn these skills.
  • Implements best practices in order to optimize operations.
  • Works with Technical experts and Operating Technicians to initiate changes to plant operating procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date.
  • Provides high level leadership and direction in the day to day decision making for the operating area of responsibility.
  • Conducts and participates in root cause analysis, FMEA, etc. as required.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, chemistry or other science discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrate and validate expertise of both the technology and the continuous improvement process, including: Fundamental principles (mass balance, energy balance, process parameters, governing equations)
  • Plant unit knowledge (tracing lines, equipment, process control technology)
  • Technology and process safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of key continuous improvement systems (Six Sigma, LEAN)
