About the role
- Responsible as subject-matter expert in developing sourcing strategies, managing new and existing Category plans for Regional and Global categories to achieve category maturity, targeted savings and specific annual goals.
- Responsible for negotiations with identified suppliers for contract completion and key performance requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to obtain consensus for the strategy applying the approval processes and Manufacturing Leadership/Decision Committee approvals.
- Manage preferred supplier relationships, including regular supplier review meetings and resolution of contractual issues.
- Integrate the supplier into operational process of Arkema, including Sustainable and Cybersecurity requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations and other applicable corporate requirements and procedures.
- Accountable for communicating with and involvement of business management on an on-going basis.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in category management and strategic sourcing of Corporate Services Procurement, preferably in the industrial markets.
- Advanced experience required in the following areas: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Category Plan Development and Implementation, Project Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Market Analysis and Supply Options, E-Sourcing, Risk Based Qualifications, E-Catalogs and P2P process knowledge, SAP experience preferred, Six Sigma Certification preferred.
