About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Part qualification and inspection
  • Provide technical support to inspectors for receiving inspection activities
  • Support creation, review and improvement of inspection forms as needed
  • Serve as a resource and backup for the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
  • Initiate supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and non-conformities (NCs) and ensure their follow-up
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing quality and manufacturing processes
  • Perform product release when required
  • Coordinate configuration management of weighing-scale parameters
  • Produce and maintain required documentation related to responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in engineering or a relevant discipline combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience related to the role's responsibilities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience considered relevant
  • Proficient in English (level 4/5)
  • Ability to read and interpret machining, assembly and inspection drawings and to understand basic concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T or GPS)
  • Ability to use various measuring instruments such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, gear tester and similar equipment
  • Knowledge of problem-solving methods and tools
  • Experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, aerospace, automotive or similar industry) is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
