About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Part qualification and inspection
- Provide technical support to inspectors for receiving inspection activities
- Support creation, review and improvement of inspection forms as needed
- Serve as a resource and backup for the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Initiate supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and non-conformities (NCs) and ensure their follow-up
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing quality and manufacturing processes
- Perform product release when required
- Coordinate configuration management of weighing-scale parameters
- Produce and maintain required documentation related to responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in engineering or a relevant discipline combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience related to the role's responsibilities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience considered relevant
- Proficient in English (level 4/5)
- Ability to read and interpret machining, assembly and inspection drawings and to understand basic concepts of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T or GPS)
- Ability to use various measuring instruments such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, gear tester and similar equipment
- Knowledge of problem-solving methods and tools
- Experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, aerospace, automotive or similar industry) is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
