About the role
- Implement new products for reprocessing
- Support continuous improvement activities (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc)
- Investigate and implement new technology
- Write test plans, conducts tests, document results for verifications/validations
- Develop work instructions to document manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes using root cause analysis tools
- Update BOM’s/Routings as needed
- Perform/manage Kaizen events, Lean initiatives, 5S, etc. to achieve production improvements
- Study/R&D new technologies that may replace existing methods for improved efficiencies
- Write feasibility documents to document potential advances from new technologies, e.g. automation, robotics, etc.
- Manage new technology implementation as project leader
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing: Medical Device experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of ISO 13485
- Continuous Improvement (Lean, 6 Sigma, Kanban, Kaizen, etc.)
- IT skills – ERP experience required, CAD experience preferred
- Data analysis, DoE, problem solving skills
- Collaborative, team player with good communication skills
