About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with grading and course management for Universal Learner Courses (ULC)
Support faculty with learner assessment in online courses
Provide substantive feedback and grade learner assignments and in-class activities in a timely manner
Monitor and grade assignments
Help learners navigate challenges within the Universal Learner Course
Address learner challenges through course Discussion boards
Monitor and engage in discussion activities
Host live learner sessions when assigned by faculty
Participate in initial training and calibration sessions
Perform other tasks assigned by the Learning Enterprise team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must complete mandatory fingerprinting
Significant understanding of relevant course concepts
Strong written and verbal skills
Ability to grade in one or more listed humanities areas
Ability to provide substantive feedback and grade assignments in a timely manner
Ability to work proactively with limited oversight
Ability to excel in changing or challenging circumstances
Content knowledge and/or coursework in a related field
Must have completed ENG 101, ENG 102, ENG 105, or equivalent
Experience with Canvas or a comparable Learning Management System is desired
Prior teaching, tutoring, or student-success experience is desired or preferred
Commitment to supporting students and advancing education equity
Must be based in Arizona; special permissions are required for out-of-state employment and may not be granted
