About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supports and instructs those served by the department with routine queries, applies fundamental knowledge of multiple standards, policies and procedures, and maintains accurate and detailed records.
  • Coordinate and execute Professional Sales Program events, including two large multi-university sales competitions annually.
  • Develop and manage detailed event timelines and logistics involving students, faculty, corporate partners, and external participants.
  • Arrange facilities, catering, materials, travel, lodging, and technology needs.
  • Serve as on-site event coordinator, overseeing setup, vendor communication, registration processes, and real-time troubleshooting to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor and track event budgets and related expenses.
  • Coordinate communications and logistics for corporate partners, advisory board members, sponsors, and guest speakers.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional efforts, including website updates, social media coordination, and preparation of program and event materials.
  • Process and track event-related invoices, sponsorship payments, awards, and financial documentation in accordance with university policies.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records, databases, and reporting systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • 1+ years of professional event planning or program management experience
  • Demonstrated success executing complex, multi-stakeholder events
  • Strong project management and logistical coordination skills
  • High attention to detail with strong financial and documentation management abilities
  • Experience working with corporate clients, sponsors, and/or internal/external stakeholders in a team setting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management, financial, marketing, or CRM systems preferred (e.g., Workday, Concur, Stova, Canva, Adobe, Google Forms, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Experience developing event marketing materials and digital communications including social media
