About the role
- Serve as a bridge between ASU Career Services and academic colleges in the development of career-focused programs and engagement for our diverse population of students.
- Collaborate with the ASU community by building relationships internally and externally, leveraging technology tools, networking, and understanding employer hiring practices.
- Research to understand the needs of students and develop programs or resources to meet those needs.
- Design and facilitate programs and initiatives focused on student career development and professional success; including but not limited to alumni and employer panels and networking events.
- Create strategies for increasing student engagement in career events and resources using data and metrics along with input from faculty, staff, and industry experts.
- Conduct ongoing research through benchmarking peer institutions, connecting with professional associations, and participating in career and professional development conferences to understand and provide information about post-graduation opportunities for students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Experience building and managing relationships across multiple departments/teams.
- Experience in customizing events to specific audience and demographic needs (virtual events and in-person events ranging in size of 20-500+ attendees).
- Experience building, customizing and facilitating presentation and workshop content.
- Experience working with students across different disciplines and industries.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing data sets to inform decision making.
- Experience in work that requires attention to detail and record keeping.
- Experience in prioritizing varied workload and meeting multiple, overlapping deadlines.
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and database management systems.
