About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multiple large-scale IT projects (often 7–10 at a time) with budgets ranging from $5M–$10M, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Partner with teams across the business—including generation, customer operations, and technical groups—to deliver solutions that improve service and reliability
  • Build and execute project plans, aligning timelines, resources, and priorities across multi-year initiatives
  • Guide cross-functional teams and vendors, fostering collaboration and keeping stakeholders informed and aligned
  • Identify and mitigate risks, making informed decisions to keep complex projects moving forward successfully
  • Support initiatives involving infrastructure, networking, hardware, and battery-related technologies critical to APS operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field PLUS five (5) years of prior relevant experience managing projects in the area of software applications, IT infrastructure or cybersecurity
  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience as a Project Manager or in positions defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling nine (9) years
  • Experience managing multiple small-to-medium size projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams and other project managers
  • Demonstrated expertise in project fundamentals such as scope, schedule, budget, and risk management across concurrent projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, vendors, and senior leaders
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure, networking, hardware systems, and emerging technologies, with familiarity in agile and waterfall methodologies
  • A strategic thinker who can connect project outcomes to broader organizational goals and customer impact.
