About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting communication systems that support power plants, mountain-top sites, and other mission-critical facilities
  • Installing and improving field-based technical assets, addressing design gaps, and modifying designs to improve reliability
  • Responding to outages and supporting disaster recovery efforts by rerouting traffic and restoring services quickly and safely

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience supporting enterprise communication systems in a field or plant environment
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as microwave links, fiber backbones, radio systems, and related network equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, adapt designs in the field, and respond calmly during outages or emergencies
  • Strong collaboration skills, including coordinating with vendors and internal partners
  • A safety-first mindset and comfort working across large geographic areas and critical facilities
  • Dependable, self-directed professionals who value teamwork and shared responsibility
  • Technical degree in telecommunication, data communications or equivalent
  • Ability to travel statewide, work outdoors, and work overtime
