About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing, building, and maintaining Oracle databases in a complex, distributed environment
Supporting both project initiatives and day-to-day operations on Oracle Exadata platforms
Ensuring database performance, security, and reliability through strong physical data modeling and system design
Troubleshooting and optimizing database performance using Linux-based diagnostics and shell scripting
Partnering with IT and business teams to support new solutions, system improvements, and operational stability
Participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance to keep critical systems running smoothly

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field
Seven (7) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting Oracle database environments in enterprise settings
Hands-on expertise with Oracle Exadata, including Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN utilities
Solid understanding of physical data models, technical architecture, and system interfaces
Proficiency in Linux environments such as Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with experience using shell scripting for OS-level troubleshooting
Ability to develop clear technical documentation and design relational database models
