About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage client advocacy programs and drive strategy and execution.
- Support federal, state, and local advocacy campaigns alongside senior team members and client account teams.
- Track issues, monitor legislative developments, and recommend updates to advocacy content.
- Assist with advocacy events including lobby days and stakeholder briefings.
- Draft and edit action alerts, newsletters, and client materials.
- Manage digital assets for social channels and websites.
- Research policymakers and committees to support strategy and outreach.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Public Affairs, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, campaigns, legislative work, account management, communications, or a related field.
- Working understanding of the legislative process and interest in lobbying, grassroots advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using digital advocacy tools, CRM systems, email platforms, social media tools, or similar technology.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
