About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert for trade compliance and provide authoritative mentorship across operating regions
  • Lead the introduction, management, and continuous refinement of trade compliance policies, controls, and frameworks
  • Act as the SME for classification, valuation, origin, export controls, and core compliance topics
  • Develop, implement, and evolve trade compliance standards and guidelines
  • Lead global trade audits, investigations, and remediation efforts
  • Guide corrective actions and remediation plans throughout the organization
  • Identify compliance gaps, non-compliance risks, and process deviations
  • Maintain audit records and support compliance reporting and benchmark tracking
  • Provide governance oversight for global product classification, including HTS, ECCN, and country-of-origin determinations
  • Review and validate regional classification decisions for global consistency
  • Support restricted-party screening governance and escalate potential issues
  • Monitor global customs, export-control, sanctions, and trade-program regulatory changes and communicate impacts
  • Perform qualification analysis for Free Trade Agreements, duty-savings programs, and preferential trade initiatives
  • Partner with sourcing, engineering, and regional compliance teams to expand program participation and optimize duty savings opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, International Business, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or related regulatory compliance functions
  • Strong working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Classification
  • Experience with Free Trade Agreement Analysis/Qualification
  • Experience with process auditing and application of import/export trade regulations
  • Strong project management experience
  • Global Trade systems experience, including Global Trade Management (E2Open), D365, ERP, ACE, and SQL
  • Proven experience auditing import/export documentation or customs broker performance
  • Ability to interpret and apply global trade regulations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record developing and implementing trade compliance strategies and initiatives
  • Must be authorized to work in the job posting location full-time without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Subject to mandatory background screening and regulatory approvals
  • May be required to complete a criminal background check, submit fingerprints, and obtain applicable gaming licenses or registrations
