About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the end-to-end revenue accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and policies.
- Oversee revenue calculations, billing, and revenue recognition for customer and customer-vendor arrangements.
- Review and interpret commercial contracts to determine appropriate billing structures and accounting treatment.
- Support monthly BvE and BvA reporting with clear analysis of key variances.
- Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to timelines.
- Drive operational improvements and strengthen controls across revenue, billing, and contract management.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, and operations to resolve revenue, billing, and contract queries.
- Analyse revenue trends and variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support statutory, regulatory reports and audit and tax audits, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses.
- Collaborate with the broader Finance team to drive operational excellence and scalable processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in revenue accounting, billing, or commercial finance in complex or multinational environments.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and contract interpretation (customer and vendor).
- Experience managing end-to-end billing and revenue processes with high accuracy.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Experience supporting month-end close, reporting, and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements and strengthen internal controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Finance, Sales, Legal, and operations.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP and revenue/billing systems.
- Proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a continuous improvement approach.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience supporting audits and compliance activities is advantageous.
