About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate global infrastructure and manage service availability
- Handle RMA and refresh equipment
- Perform colocation migrations as needed
- Carry out server patching and upgrades
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents
- Build data center solutions using infrastructure as code
- Design scalable hybrid cloud environments integrating public-cloud IaaS with physical data centers
- Collaborate with SREs to ensure software components operate in a production-grade environment
- Maximize visibility into network operations and flexibility during component failures
- Select, qualify, and deploy servers
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Computer Science is preferred
- Systems administration experience with Linux and ESXi
- Development experience in Python
- Experience with infrastructure as code, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub
- Understanding of L2 and L3 OSI network layers
- Hands-on experience with the VCF stack
- Administrative-level understanding of public cloud providers
- Knowledge of capacity management and availability monitoring
- Experience with monitoring tools and platforms including AIOps, Wavefront, LogicMonitor, ELK Stack, and SaltStack
