About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join Arista’s FedRAMP CloudVision-as-a-Service SRE team
Ensure scalability, reliability, and stability of the global CloudVision service fleet
Drive, develop, and lead projects involving data platform architecture and performance, capacity planning, autoscaling, disaster recovery, observability, change management, CI/CD, service network architecture, cost optimizations, infrastructure, and cloud-first application security
Participate in the FedRAMP on-call rotation split between West and East coast timezones
Develop, operate, and work with databases directly on Kubernetes or through managed database products
Integrate with open source software projects powering microservices, monitoring infrastructure, and other systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of software engineering experience
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience managing FedRAMP SaaS environments or other highly regulated systems
Proven experience developing or managing deployments of distributed database systems or large-scale SaaS applications
Proficiency in Python, Go (Golang), or other programming languages
Strong scripting skills in Bash or other scripting languages
Familiarity with GCP and GKE preferred
