About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join Arista’s FedRAMP CloudVision-as-a-Service SRE team
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and stability of the global CloudVision service fleet
  • Drive, develop, and lead projects involving data platform architecture and performance, capacity planning, autoscaling, disaster recovery, observability, change management, CI/CD, service network architecture, cost optimizations, infrastructure, and cloud-first application security
  • Participate in the FedRAMP on-call rotation split between West and East coast timezones
  • Develop, operate, and work with databases directly on Kubernetes or through managed database products
  • Integrate with open source software projects powering microservices, monitoring infrastructure, and other systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience managing FedRAMP SaaS environments or other highly regulated systems
  • Proven experience developing or managing deployments of distributed database systems or large-scale SaaS applications
  • Proficiency in Python, Go (Golang), or other programming languages
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash or other scripting languages
  • Familiarity with GCP and GKE preferred
