About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independent handling of ongoing accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting
Performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Continuous analysis and optimization of existing accounting processes
Participation in the implementation and further development of finance and accounting tools and digital solutions
Ensuring audit-proof documentation and archiving of all accounting records in compliance with legal requirements
Support for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Contributing to the development of internal policies and processes in accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed commercial vocational training or a degree in economics/business administration, or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting/finance
Several years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting
Excellent knowledge of common MS Office applications, especially Excel, as well as strong IT affinity and openness to digital processes
Experience working with an ERP system
Analytical, structured and independent working style combined with strong numerical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills
High level of initiative and sense of responsibility, as well as a reliable and meticulous work approach
Very good German language skills (min. C1) both written and spoken; good English skills are an advantage.
