About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supplement development, design, testing, and enhancement efforts in the Agency’s Drupal content management system
Create and update Drupal content types
Update menus and information architecture driving menu creation
Optimize the Drupal environment and integrate third-party tools such as Qualtrics
Create and maintain user roles, permissions, and workflows
Integrate modules into the Drupal environment based on customer requirements
Implement responsive layouts for tablet and mobile viewing
Evaluate and address website accessibility issues
Perform functional and automated quality assurance testing for performance and integrations
Design and update homepages, landing pages, and other content types using UX best practices
Implement application-level security patches and address application vulnerabilities
Complete minor and major Drupal CMS upgrades
Provide technical documentation for developed solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
5+ years of experience in Drupal Development
Experience with module development and customization, including views, rules, and custom core configuration
Experience with theming, Twig templating, and web design principles
Strong understanding of Drupal APIs, including Hooks, Services, and Events
Back-end experience with MySQL/MariaDB, query optimization, and Drupal’s entity system
Front-end experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
Experience with version control tools and repositories such as Git and GitHub
Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps
Experience participating on project teams
Strong communication skills
Highly organized
Public Trust eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination
U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the United States
Ability to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and comply with safeguarding requirements
