About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead federal workforce planning and staffing by coordinating hiring actions and overseeing workforce management activities
  • Supervise and guide workforce specialists on workforce planning, position descriptions, personnel requests, workforce reporting, and process improvements
  • Use centralized and peripheral databases, content management, and records management systems to shape workflows and processes
  • Liaise between government cybersecurity hiring managers and the Office of Human Capital
  • Create and monitor personnel requests and Personnel Action Requests across multiple organizations and subdivisions
  • Craft position descriptions meeting federal guidelines and align them with appropriate grade and security level
  • Process system change requests before hiring actions are processed
  • Coordinate org chart updates, billet realignment, and fiscal-year billet allocations
  • Process qualification reviews, career ladder promotions, and recruitment incentive requests
  • Support workforce planning, staffing, recruitment, onboarding, retention, employee engagement, communications, and organizational development initiatives
  • Coordinate hiring actions, position descriptions, vacancy announcements, interviews, and candidate tracking
  • Maintain staffing plans, billet inventories, organizational charts, and Table of Organization data
  • Track personnel actions, vacancies, hiring metrics, and staffing progress
  • Coordinate employee training, certifications, professional development, and workforce readiness initiatives
  • Develop workforce reports, dashboards, and leadership briefings
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend strategies for skill gaps, succession planning, and talent management
  • Coordinate with human capital offices, contractors, and government stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA or BS in Business Administration, Organizational Management, Human Resources, or a relevant field
  • 10 to 12 years' experience in a relevant field
  • Strong coordination skills supporting protocols between high-level government managers and the Human Capital office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documents, briefings, and facilitation
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Experience using SharePoint and Teams to support process development
  • Strong process development skills and ability to understand and communicate multi-stakeholder processes verbally and visually
  • DHS Suitability Required
