About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build software platform Nimbus in a cross-functional, agile team
Automate energy trading across multiple markets in the UK and internationally
Process and manage high-frequency telemetry data from battery sites
Develop scalable, reliable and performant backend systems
Develop low-level control and dispatch systems for power management
Provide platform functionality through the web application and public API
Design, build and maintain backend services
Contribute to technical leadership, mentorship and team best practices
Balance long-term strategy with short-term needs in a fast-changing industry
Participate in an on-call rotation and take end-to-end ownership of technical operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with Go and cloud-native development, including AWS, microservices and CI/CD
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative environment
Knowledge of database technologies
Knowledge of event-driven architectures
Ability to communicate technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Practical, flexible mindset, comfortable navigating uncertainty and evolving priorities
Experienced-level background
Participation in an on-call rotation
