Director, Patient Services Strategy

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and lead the strategic vision and roadmap for patient access programs
- Architect scalable Patient Services Models that enhance patient access and experience
- Establish and evolve performance frameworks and KPIs to drive strategic decision-making
- Oversee governance and optimization of operating models and compliance frameworks
- Analyze macro trends in patient access and reimbursement to shape innovative strategies
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Market Access, Trade & Distribution
- Drive innovation and digital transformation in patient services with tech-enabled solutions
- Develop and guide long-term patient engagement and adherence strategies
- Provide strategic oversight of external vendors and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, PharmD, RN, PA)
- 9–12 years of progressive experience across patient access, market access, or reimbursement strategy, or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise-level strategies within patient services or market access environments
- 5+ years of leadership experience with demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams
- Deep expertise in payer systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial
- Strong understanding of healthcare provider workflows and the broader patient journey
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory, compliance, and privacy frameworks including HIPAA
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience leveraging data, analytics, and digital solutions to inform strategy
- Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities
