About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Lead technical accounting matters and serve as the primary point of contact for audit coordination
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives
- Lead acquisition integration and accounting process alignment initiatives
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability within the accounting function
- Own internal controls and compliance activities, including risk assessment and remediation
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects, partnering with FP&A and executive leadership
- Manage and develop accounting team members, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior people-management experience
- CPA designation required
- Prior Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Combination of public accounting and corporate industry experience preferred
- Experience within IT services, technology, SaaS, consulting, or managed services industries is considered a strong asset
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate independently and make sound judgment calls with minimal oversight
