About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and assist clients with creating requirements, identifying gaps and translating business requirements into security solutions.
  • Scope and perform penetration testing and vulnerability research of complex proprietary software and hardware for client services.
  • Perform network and host-based penetration testing using internal and commercially available tools.
  • Search for weaknesses in common software, web/mobile applications and proprietary systems.
  • Identify security weaknesses in both systems and policies.
  • Participate in the identification and analysis of risk scenarios.
  • Create new testing methods to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Performs development and maintenance activities for security testing applications and tools.
  • Provides technical guidance to customers about risks and control measures associated with new technologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats.
  • Create reports and prepare briefing packages for presentation to customers, management, and senior leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hold one or more current and relevant Penetration Testing certifications.
  • A solid foundational understanding of networking principals, security best practices, and systems administration is required.
  • Security Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in security and 3 or more years in offensive security testing.
  • Compelling written and verbal communicator.
  • Experience with Python/Go or similar, CSS/HTML and JavaScript.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in project teams and complete individual tasks in a timely manner.
  • A sense of personal accountability.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, working within the continental U.S., and will be subject to standard background checks.
