About the role

  • Review user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria to create detailed manual and automated test cases.
  • Develop positive, negative, and edge-case test scenarios for Salesforce configurations and customizations.
  • Maintain and update test cases in alignment with sprint changes and evolving requirements.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
  • Execute manual test cases to validate:
  • - Standard Salesforce functionality (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud features)
  • - Custom objects, fields, validation rules, and Flows
  • - Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning components
  • - Reports, dashboards, and security configurations
  • - Integrations between Salesforce and external systems
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Identify, document, and retest defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Validate bug fixes and confirm readiness for deployment.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce applications using approved automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, or similar platforms).
  • Contribute to regression automation suites to improve test efficiency and coverage.
  • Support automation execution as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Continuously improve automation coverage under guidance from senior team members.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using JIRA.
  • Clearly document expected vs. actual results and maintain structured defect records.
  • Provide updates on testing progress, defect status, and release readiness.
  • Work closely with Solution Engineers to validate functionality and clarify system behavior.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and assist in validating client feedback.
  • Ensure delivered solutions align with documented business requirements.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of:
  • - Salesforce data model and relationships
  • - Security model (profiles, roles, permission sets)
  • - Salesforce automation tools (Flows)
  • Stay updated on Salesforce seasonal releases and platform enhancements.
  • Strengthen knowledge of automation frameworks and QA best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Business Informatics.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is mandatory.
  • 0–2 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
  • Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in building a career in Salesforce QA.
  • **Preferred (Good to Have)**
  • Exposure to Salesforce platform.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (or willingness to pursue).
  • Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
