About the role
- Own day-to-day supplier execution performance from PO release through delivery.
- Partner with suppliers to accelerate critical material deliveries and support dynamic build schedules (Pull-In Management).
- Develop and drive recovery actions for delayed or at-risk parts to minimize production impact.
- Assess supplier lead times, identify constraints, and implement reduction/improvement plans.
- Evaluate supplier production capacity versus demand and drive action plans to close capacity gaps.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks (quality, delivery, capacity, logistics) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with procurement, quality, planning, engineering, EPM, and logistics teams to ensure alignment on supply priorities.
- Partner with suppliers to develop and implement operational enhancements to improve reliability, responsiveness, and scalability.
- Monitor and report KPIs (OTD, lead time adherence, capacity utilization, PPV) with a focus on actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Track and analyze purchase price variance at the supplier level and provide reporting to leadership to support cost control initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to review performance and drive accountability for action plans.
- Travel: ~10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Operations.
- 10+ years of related experience in supply chain, supplier management, or operations.
- Experience in the Aerospace and/or Automotive industry is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Strong expertise in supplier execution management, recovery planning, and capacity/lead time analysis.
- Experience tracking and reporting PPV and supply chain KPIs.
- Proven track record of driving supply base performance improvements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, dynamic environments with frequent changes in priorities.
- APICS certification (bonus).
