About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure that all software releases, patches, and hotfixes are properly planned, executed, and documented, with accurate tracking of changes and updates to the various software branches
- Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level
- Must be able to maintain the required clearance
- Coordinate with developers, product owners, and engineering managers to ensure that all software releases meet completion and artifact recording timelines
- Manage multiple processes and documents, serving as the primary point of contact between the Regional Apps Agile Release Train (ART) and other ARTs on the program regarding current / future releases of Regional Apps software
- Collaborate with key program stakeholders, including Configuration Management (CM), Release Management, and Quality Assurance, to ensure successful release of software artifacts and creation of deployment media
- Develop, maintain, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics related to the Regional Apps Enterprise
- Prioritize and manage emergency changes to the software, ensuring timely resolution of operational deficiencies or anomalies that impact customer satisfaction
- Support Regional Apps PI Planning, ensuring the work needed for future Releases is planned by the development teams
- Coordinate with other program points of contact to ensure timeliness and completeness of Releases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 12 years of experience in software development, with a focus on release management, configuration management, or a related field
- Experience with large, complex software systems, including those used by the Department of Defense
- Familiarity with C2BMC-specific software deployment processes and procedures
- Certification in Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner)
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with metrics development and reporting, with ability to analyze and present complex data
- Existing 8140 Certification
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on release management, configuration management
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including planning, development, testing, and deployment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to acquire 8140 Certification
