About the role

  • Perform high-level analysis, root cause troubleshooting, and technical support for systems software products
  • Assist in problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
  • Interface with product teams to resolve complex problems and set up simulation scenarios to improve system efficiency
  • Effectively present technical approaches and findings to diverse audiences, including subject matter experts and senior program leadership
  • Understand and analyze complex algorithms related to missile defense command and control, IR sensors, and radar concepts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 20+ years of BMDS (Ballistic Missile Defense System) and Systems Engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of work experience
  • Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycles
  • Hands-on data analysis using spreadsheets, databases, and Linux command line
  • Proficiency in developing tools/log parsers using MATLAB, Bash, Java, or Python
  • Ability to read and understand Java, C++, and/or Fortran code
  • Previous C2BMC program experience is highly desired
  • Experience with missile defense battle management, intercept engagements, and space domain awareness
  • Experience in Agile Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with GIT, CI/CD pipelines, sensor tracking, ICDs, and spatial coordinate frames
  • Prior experience with project management tools such as DOORS, JIRA, or Confluence
