About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to electrical design projects focused on municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated electrical systems
- Define design criteria and perform detailed calculations
- Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications
- Prepare construction cost estimates
- Conduct code compliance reviews and field investigations
- Draft technical reports and memorandums
- Review equipment submittals and shop drawings during construction
- Respond to contractor RFIs
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Deliver successful project outcomes for municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–3 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a closely related field of study
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and strong work ethic
- Working to obtain or obtained Professional Engineer License (preferred)
- Experience in water/wastewater electrical engineering design (preferred)
- Experience with power and standby power systems, lighting, and motor control systems design (preferred)
- Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls, and SCADA network architecture (preferred)
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations (preferred)
- May 2027 graduates are encouraged to apply
