About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to electrical design projects focused on municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated electrical systems
Define design criteria and perform detailed calculations
Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications
Prepare construction cost estimates
Conduct code compliance reviews and field investigations
Draft technical reports and memorandums
Review equipment submittals and shop drawings during construction
Respond to contractor RFIs
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
Deliver successful project outcomes for municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

0–3 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a closely related field of study
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset and strong work ethic
Working to obtain or obtained Professional Engineer License (preferred)
Experience in water/wastewater electrical engineering design (preferred)
Experience with power and standby power systems, lighting, and motor control systems design (preferred)
Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls, and SCADA network architecture (preferred)
Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations (preferred)
