About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support management of water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
  • Support projects involving treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping facilities
  • Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects, including vulnerability and mitigation assessments
  • Plan and design projects for utilities, municipalities, and cities
  • Conduct site visits and fieldwork
  • Perform sampling and water quality analyses
  • Evaluate technologies, gather plant operations information, troubleshoot processes, and optimize systems
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and audio-visual materials
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
  • Coordinate timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget
  • Collaborate independently and as part of a team across the U.S. and internationally
  • Learn and use SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another closely related academic discipline
  • Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid work ethic
  • Initiative and ability to take on new projects and challenges
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible approach
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
