About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical and design consulting services for Water Division projects
  • Serve as Arcadis’ main point of contact for clients’ electrical needs
  • Support planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and similar industrial projects
  • Assist in developing project management skills, including managing project budgets and coordinating delivery schedules
  • Perform electrical design and coordination for power distribution, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and control systems
  • Utilize Autodesk and Bentley CAD software for electrical system design and documentation
  • Establish design criteria and perform design calculations
  • Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans, and specifications
  • Provide engineering services during construction
  • Review equipment submittals and shop drawings
  • Respond to contractor RFIs
  • Conduct field inspections to identify design deviations and ensure safety compliance
  • Perform electrical system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and other power systems analysis software
  • Travel as required to meet project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in the water-wastewater industry
  • Experience with electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and communications
  • Experience using CAD software, including Autodesk and Bentley products
  • Experience performing design calculations and establishing design criteria
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power systems analysis software
  • Ability to travel as required to meet project needs
