About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical and design consulting services for Water Division projects
Serve as Arcadis’ main point of contact for clients’ electrical needs
Support planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and similar industrial projects
Assist in developing project management skills, including managing project budgets and coordinating delivery schedules
Perform electrical design and coordination for power distribution, lighting, communication, fire alarm, and control systems
Utilize Autodesk and Bentley CAD software for electrical system design and documentation
Establish design criteria and perform design calculations
Develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, electrical plans, and specifications
Provide engineering services during construction
Review equipment submittals and shop drawings
Respond to contractor RFIs
Conduct field inspections to identify design deviations and ensure safety compliance
Perform electrical system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and other power systems analysis software
Travel as required to meet project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Strong background in the water-wastewater industry
Experience with electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and communications
Experience using CAD software, including Autodesk and Bentley products
Experience performing design calculations and establishing design criteria
Experience with ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power systems analysis software
Ability to travel as required to meet project needs
