About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the growth and delivery of water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid waste services across West Florida
  • Partner with Area Leaders, Project Managers, and Technical Experts to expand client relationships, win strategic pursuits, and deliver projects
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with municipal clients and key decision-makers
  • Identify client needs, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives to expand Arcadis’ regional presence
  • Lead business development activities, including pursuit planning, client engagement strategies, proposal development, interviews, and task order negotiations
  • Manage and oversee the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects
  • Ensure quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction objectives are achieved
  • Provide senior technical and project leadership on water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid waste planning, design, and program management projects
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level staff
  • Contribute to financial performance, growth, and overall business success
  • Travel up to 30% for client meetings, industry events, project delivery, and business development activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field of study
  • 10 years of experience in business development and/or project management in the water, wastewater, stormwater, resilience, and solid waste sectors
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and delivering municipal infrastructure projects
  • Strong engineering, project management, and business development capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop trusted client relationships
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to prepare technical proposals and deliver presentations
  • Ability to successfully execute complex projects
  • Experience working with municipalities and local government agencies throughout Florida highly desirable
  • Master’s degree and Management Professional or Environmental Sustainability Professional certification preferred
  • 5 years of relevant sales and account management experience preferred
