About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities
  • Design power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, specifications, plans, and design calculations using industry-standard design software
  • Perform power system analyses and technical studies
  • Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients
  • Support construction through submittal reviews, RFI responses, field investigations, and startup/commissioning
  • Participate in client interactions and technical discussions
  • Contribute to proposal development and identify innovative infrastructure solutions
  • Support delivery of projects on schedule and within budget

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects
  • EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in electrical design and power distribution systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities
  • Ability to design power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design software
  • Ability to perform power system analyses and technical studies
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, site visits, field investigations, and project delivery activities
