About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project controls integration across the design phase of major capital projects
  • Establish and maintain integrated project control systems including Oracle and Unifier
  • Coordinate timesheet inputs, labour data, progress measurement, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare, analyze, and present KPI metrics, dashboards, and performance indicators for management review
  • Facilitate monthly performance reviews, integrated forecasting, and project reporting
  • Develop and maintain integrated performance insight reports across planning, design management, commercial, risk, change, and delivery teams
  • Ensure consistent data structures and support effective performance baselining
  • Translate complex project information into clear reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Assist with control account structures, project breakdown structures, and reporting frameworks
  • Maintain project controls records including baselines, change logs, assumptions, action trackers, and supporting documentation
  • Identify and help resolve project controls issues with the project controls team and discipline leads
  • Support project setup through development of project controls processes, management plans, reporting frameworks, governance routines, and KPI structures
  • Work closely with the Project Director and Commercial Lead across integrated project controls
  • Collaborate across design, planning, risk, commercial, and delivery functions
  • Mentor project controllers and promote consistent project controls procedures
  • Apply knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and other standard forms of contract
  • Contribute to the Performance Excellence Group and champion best-practice integration and continuous improvement
  • Undertake additional duties required by the Line Manager or Arcadis
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering or construction management, or similar
  • 5-8 years’ experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or project controls on large infrastructure projects; Marine projects preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working within a design and engineering consultancy environment
  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet or similar tools is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy in assessing cost, risk, and performance data
  • Ability to work collaboratively with excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), change control, and risk management frameworks
  • Working understanding of risk tools such as Acumen Risk is beneficial
  • Membership in recognized professional bodies such as PQS, MRICS, or MCIOB is preferred
  • Compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines
