About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive workforce planning from the front lines, supporting pursuits and projects through talent identification and deployment.
  • Support Sector and Service leaders and WFP Directors by managing conflicts, driving contribution, and improving data quality.
  • Engage team managers to maximize billability and forecast reliability.
  • Monitor and manage the demand marketplace and own demand within the assigned remit.
  • Own the quality and accuracy of the 12-week look-ahead for team managers.
  • Identify work and demand that can be planned in advance for Design & Engineering.
  • Provide dashboard feedback and insights to stakeholders for informed decisions.
  • Identify recruitment needs and recommend them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support soft booking, pre-planning, mobilization, and de-mobilization of talent to projects.
  • Act as the primary contact for talent seeking new opportunities and document information in the system.
  • Build networks with team managers, pursuit leaders, project managers, sector and industry leads, and client teams.
  • Identify and resolve workforce-planning data gaps or inaccuracies and continuously enrich workforce data.
  • Support onboarding of new joiners and complete WFP Tags profiles.
  • Identify and escalate supply and demand risks, supply gaps, oversupply, and unexpected changes.
  • Find suitable talent or profiles for pursuits and sales opportunities and support prioritization of top-tier clients or major opportunities.
  • Identify client-required attributes and integrate them into WFP Tags.
  • Address practices that may compromise Arcadis outcomes and escalate concerns appropriately.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in workforce planning, resource planning, deployment coordination, or similar operational planning roles within the AEC or related professional services industry.
  • Deep understanding of workforce analytics and forecasting, including demand signals, forecast accuracy, and billability.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across Team Managers, Project Managers, Pursuit Leaders, Account Leaders, and Talent Acquisition partners.
  • Knowledge of regional talent trends, labor markets, and basic employment law relevant to workforce planning and deployment.
  • Analytical and data-driven ability to identify data gaps, manage planning inputs, and improve workforce information accuracy and completeness.
  • Change management and transformation expertise supporting evolving processes, behaviors, and adoption of workforce planning tools.
  • Detailed knowledge of workforce planning data processes and systems, WFP Tags, and demand matching, or ability to quickly develop comparable knowledge.
  • Client-oriented, solution-driven mindset able to translate client and pursuit needs into resource planning actions.
  • Strong communication skills for timely feedback, recommendations, and early warnings on supply and demand risks.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, escalate risks, and leverage networks to identify talent for pursuits and projects.
  • Understanding of utilization, billability, project margins, and their impact on resource planning decisions.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adherence to workforce planning practices without direct authority.
  • Ability to make resource allocation recommendations balancing priorities, business needs, and workforce constraints.
  • Leadership style aligned with Arcadis’ values of curiosity, driving success, and igniting passion.
  • Degree-level education in a relevant technical or commercial discipline such as business, operations, human resources, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
