About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts and functional requirements to meet project-design criteria
  • Support the team in concept/schematic development of workplace projects
  • Oversee the interior design process and deliverables with project Lead input
  • Take direction from the Design Lead to establish project direction
  • Integrate interior elements and concepts effectively with supervision
  • Conceptualize and describe design ideas through 3D visualization and hand-sketching
  • Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers
  • Develop understanding of building codes and accessibility codes/standards
  • Select and specify interior design elements to suit project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent
  • Up to 3+ years of workplace interiors-focused project experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of finish materials, furniture, FF&E, and applicable reference standards
  • Ability to develop preliminary space plans and design concepts
  • Ability to review shop drawings and submittals
  • Ability to produce innovative design concepts meeting client and project needs while respecting the project budget
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Ability to research and learn project-required design elements
  • Residential design experience is considered an asset
  • LEED accreditation would be an asset
