About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts and functional requirements to meet project-design criteria
Support the team in concept/schematic development of workplace projects
Oversee the interior design process and deliverables with project Lead input
Take direction from the Design Lead to establish project direction
Integrate interior elements and concepts effectively with supervision
Conceptualize and describe design ideas through 3D visualization and hand-sketching
Collaborate with colleagues and suppliers
Develop understanding of building codes and accessibility codes/standards
Select and specify interior design elements to suit project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent
Up to 3+ years of workplace interiors-focused project experience
Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
Knowledge of finish materials, furniture, FF&E, and applicable reference standards
Ability to develop preliminary space plans and design concepts
Ability to review shop drawings and submittals
Ability to produce innovative design concepts meeting client and project needs while respecting the project budget
Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with team members
Ability to research and learn project-required design elements
Residential design experience is considered an asset
LEED accreditation would be an asset
