About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare conceptual designs and construction plans using OpenRoads design software
Create highway and street geometric designs
Perform drainage design, including hydrology and hydraulics
Prepare transportation planning reports
Conduct roadway safety studies
Complete general traffic engineering projects
Complete Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) plans
Use MicroStation, OpenRoads, and related design and office software
Assist the transportation design and traffic engineering group with roadway design plans, engineering reports, studies, and analyses

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
3–4 years of experience in transportation design and/or engineering
Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of geometric design and traffic operations principles
Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT requirements and policies
Experience using OpenRoads preferred
EIT Certification preferred
Proficiency with MicroStation and related design software
