About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools
- Perform technical work with senior review
- Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors, throughout the project life cycle, and have clear and concise, oral and written communication skills
- Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Assist with Construction Administration duties, including completing field observation reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews.
- Traveling, as needed, for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 or more years of recent relevant structural engineering project experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Engineer in Training certification
- Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative
- Working knowledge of USA National codes and standards, such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc.
- Understanding of and experience with Revit software
- Effective communication skills - oral and written
