About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- support and drive the development of projects
- interact and work with clients
- evaluate, plan, and design projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance
- data analysis, technical writing, preparing engineering calculations, development of detailed drawings, cost estimation, and coordination with equipment manufacturers
- support project management activities
- conduct field work such as site visits, sampling/water quality analysis, or preparing equipment inventories
- support contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities
- prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings
- ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit (preferred)
- EIT certification (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proactive and capable of embracing new projects and challenges regularly
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
- Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
