About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

support and drive the development of projects
interact and work with clients
evaluate, plan, and design projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance
data analysis, technical writing, preparing engineering calculations, development of detailed drawings, cost estimation, and coordination with equipment manufacturers
support project management activities
conduct field work such as site visits, sampling/water quality analysis, or preparing equipment inventories
support contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities
prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings
ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment (preferred)
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit (preferred)
EIT certification (preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Proactive and capable of embracing new projects and challenges regularly
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
