About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project teams to accomplish task assignments related to highway projects
  • Project roles include planning development; urban and rural roadway design; freeway and interchange design; rights of way coordination and management; and public safety, all with a focus on quality
  • Full client engagement and responsibility for all aspects of project pursuit and development
  • Ability to lead and manage all phases of a project
  • Develop opportunity leads, project teams, and coordinate with the Mobility Client Development team to capture strategic projects
  • Develop project scopes and budgets, interfacing with and maintenance of clients, and development of project plans and schedules
  • Assist as needed on other projects assigned and work with other Arcadis offices as needed
  • Interpersonal and client facing responsibilities will include excellent, clear, and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, resources, and presentations
  • Contribute to strategic planning, development, and growth of the Texas Transportation Operations’ team
  • Adhere to Arcadis' practices including quality and safety standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Texas PE license
  • 15+ years of progressive highway (TxDOT or local municipality) design experience, including PM experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Experience working in and leading large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Progressive highway (TxDOT or local municipality) design experience, including PM experience on roadway design projects
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
