About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Direct the development of final design construction plans for highway and roadway projects
Lead, manage, and perform assignments to take 30 percent schematic design plans through preliminary and final design
Prepare roadway and highway design using local (State, County, or City) or AASHTO standards
Develop project scopes and budgets
Mentor and develop junior staff and design/drafters
Assist as needed on other projects assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of progressive highway (TxDOT) design experience
at least 3 years of roadway design lead experience on TxDOT projects
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
Texas PE
TxDOT precertification
Proficient in MicroStation and Open Roads Tools
Experience working in and leading large multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent, clear, and concise oral and written communication skills
