About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • complete inspections, bulk sampling abatement oversite, air monitoring and assessments of various types of projects
  • assist with reports for projects completed using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other various programs
  • scoping projects and preparing proposals with senior staff members
  • conduct asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and support abatement projects
  • indoor air quality and mold investigations
  • mold and water damage remediation
  • ventilation assessments
  • development and review of health and safety plans (HASPs)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in a science related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the professional services or consulting business.
  • State specific asbestos training and licensure.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos, etc.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (preferred)
  • Asbestos Safety Technician (AST) license in New Jersey (preferred)
  • Experience with report preparation (preferred)
  • Industry recognized certification in industrial hygiene (e.g. CIH, IHT) and/or indoor environmental or air quality consulting (e.g. CIEC, CIAQP) (preferred)
  • NIOSH 582 training (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
