About the role
- Assessing, developing, and supporting various consulting initiatives by performing tasks such as business process mapping, requirements gathering, data analytics, and facilitating workshops.
- Collaborating with teams and stakeholders to understand and document requirements, delivering solutions including reports and visualizations as needed.
- Supporting the design and implementation of enterprise data governance solutions that enable the rollout of analytics and artificial intelligence tools.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets to derive valuable insights by identifying trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with strong emphasis or minor on Computer or Data Science.
- Master of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer (preferred).
- Experience with tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C#) and software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, DevOps).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate stakeholder engagements.
- Internship or relevant consulting experience in utilities, engineering, or data-driven fields.
- Experience in the water industry (e.g., water, wastewater, or stormwater utilities) or a strong interest in applying engineering and analytics skills to this sector is highly desirable.
