About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects
conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work
research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications
develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents
work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle
manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects
mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

6 or more years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
experience designing flood walls, flood gates, retaining wall structures, and deep foundations
experience delivering resiliency projects
previous experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is highly preferred
proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit
