About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of highway, roadway, and utility infrastructure projects
  • Assist in preparing preliminary and detailed design drawings, technical reports, and engineering memos
  • Support the design of highways, roadways, utility relocations, grading, and drainage
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Participate in field investigations, data collection, and analysis
  • Develop design drawings and models using tools such as OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably MicroStation, OpenRoads/InRoads, or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Understanding of highway, road, and/or utility design principles
  • Familiarity with municipal and/or provincial standards, including MTO, is an asset
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
