About the role
- Lead Technical Designer, Task Manager, and/or Project Manager on municipal water and wastewater projects in Upstate NY
- Lead tasks, manage staff, work directly with clients, and participate in business development activities
- Develop municipal water and wastewater projects from planning to design and construction
- Design and construct water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, stormwater systems, and distribution/collection systems
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and delivery schedules; perform detailed engineering calculations; use CAD software; drafting not required
- Engage in industry conferences and associations; marketing and business development activities for the water/wastewater market in the region
- Coordinate project execution across disciplines; oversee design projects from inception to completion
- Prepare construction packages; develop cost estimates and project schedules; supervise and mentor junior engineers
- Uphold Arcadis’ standards and specifications; travel up to 20% for project-related activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in New York State
